Our story begins in Osage County, Oklahoma, 1960, when Jody Hull founded a small electrical firm, Joes Electric. As one of the first electricians to hold an Electrical Contracting License in Oklahoma, Mr. Hull built a legacy of hard work, integrity, and accountability.

Needing help, he enlisted his oldest son, Adam Hull, to work alongside him. Mr. Hull instilled in Adam the values of dedication, honesty, and the importance of a job done right.

After high school, Adam answered another call—he served in the United States Army before returning home to Stillwater to start a family. Determined to build something of his own, he took and passed the Oklahoma Unlimited Electrical Contractor Test, and Ace Electric was born!

With his father’s guidance and a growing list of clients, Adam quickly realized he needed help. In true Hull fashion, he invested in the next generation—offering a one-year apprenticeship to three young men. One of them, Mr. Coda Scott, rose to the challenge and was hired on permanently.

From the summer of 2006 to the summer of 2021, Adam and Coda built Ace Electric into a thriving company, weathering both the feast and famine of business while working alongside incredible people who became part of the Ace Electric family.

But in December 2021, tragedy struck. Adam lost his battle with cancer, leaving behind not only his loved ones but a company and community that deeply mourned his passing.

Thanks to Ace Electric’s succession plan, the first employee would become the new owner—Coda Scott stepped up to lead the company with a commitment to growing beyond what he and Adam could have ever imagined.
